2. Eligibility

If we learn that a user does not meet these requirements, we may terminate the account.

3. Your account

3.1 How accounts work

3.2 Username, profile picture, friend code

3.3 Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile → Delete account. Deletion is processed as described in our Privacy Policy: most personal data is removed within 30 days; some data (such as game records visible to other players) is anonymised. Deletion is not reversible.

We may also terminate or suspend your account in the cases described in §10.

4. The Service we provide

4.1 What it is

Table Online is a multiplayer backgammon game. Features include:

4.2 No real-money gambling

The Service is a game of skill and chance offered for entertainment. There is no real-money wagering and no cash-out mechanism. Virtual currency, power-ups, and cosmetic items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money or goods outside the Service, and cannot be transferred between accounts.

4.3 Availability

We aim for high availability but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may, with or without notice, perform maintenance, change features, fix bugs, or temporarily or permanently shut down parts of the Service. Where a permanent shutdown materially affects paid features, see §5.5.

4.4 Updates and compatibility

You may need to download and install updates to keep using the Service. We support recent versions of iOS and Android and modern browsers; older versions may stop working without notice.

5. In-app purchases, virtual currency and power-ups

5.1 What you are buying

When you make an in-app purchase, you acquire a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the corresponding virtual item or virtual currency inside the Service. You are not buying the item itself. We retain all rights to the virtual items.

5.2 Who is the seller

Purchases on iOS are processed by Apple through the App Store. Purchases on Android are processed by Google through Google Play. We are the merchant of record for the in-game item or service delivered, but the payment, billing, refunds and consumer-protection escalations follow Apple's and Google's terms and procedures.

5.3 Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in your local currency where supported and include applicable taxes (VAT). Prices may change. Promotions are valid only while shown.

5.4 EU right of withdrawal — important

As an EU consumer you would normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU and Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 ("OUG 34/2014").

You expressly waive this right when you start using the digital content (Article 16(m) of the Directive / Article 16(m) of OUG 34/2014). When you confirm a purchase you agree that the digital content (the virtual item or currency) is delivered immediately and you lose the right to withdraw once delivery has begun.

5.5 Refunds

5.6 Subscriptions

If we offer subscriptions, the relevant subscription terms (price, billing period, free-trial details, cancellation method) will be shown at the point of sale and managed through your Apple ID or Google account. You can cancel renewal at any time from your platform settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5.7 Anti-fraud and reversal

If a purchase is reversed, charged back, or found to be fraudulent, we may revoke the corresponding virtual items or currency, suspend the account, and recover losses through legal means.

6. Acceptable use and community rules

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  2. Insult, threaten, harass, stalk, sexually solicit, or otherwise harm any other user.
  3. Post or transmit content that is hateful, racist, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate.
  4. Impersonate any other person, including any other user, an employee of the Company, or any public figure.
  5. Cheat, exploit bugs, use automation, bots, scripts, modified clients, memory editors, packet manipulation, or any other unauthorised means to gain advantage in matches.
  6. Engage in match-fixing, deliberate disconnection, win-trading, or boosting.
  7. Buy, sell, gift, transfer, advertise, or trade accounts, virtual items, or virtual currency outside the Service.
  8. Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except as expressly permitted by law.
  9. Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or its servers without our prior written authorisation, or disrupt the Service through denial-of-service, spam, or excessive automated traffic.
  10. Send unsolicited commercial messages, links to malware, or fraudulent content through the chat or any other feature.
  11. Collect data on other users beyond what is necessary to play, or attempt to identify other users in real life.
  12. Circumvent a ban (e.g. by creating a new account after being banned).
  13. Use the Service in any country, or for the benefit of any person, sanctioned by the EU, the United Nations, or another applicable authority.

Reporting violations

If you see another user breaking these rules, use the Report feature inside chat or on a profile, or write to support@table-online.ro.

7. User-generated content

7.1 Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (chat messages, profile picture, username, feedback). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, transmit, display, reformat, and use that content strictly for the purpose of operating, improving and securing the Service, including showing chat messages to recipients and displaying your username and avatar to other players.

This licence ends when you remove the content or delete your account, except:

7.2 Our right to remove

We may remove or hide content that we reasonably consider to violate §6, applicable law, or third-party rights. Where appropriate we will tell you why, and you can appeal by writing to support@table-online.ro.

7.3 Notice of illegal content (DSA)

In line with the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation 2022/2065), you can notify us of content you consider illegal by sending a notice to support@table-online.ro containing:

We act expeditiously on notices, prioritising notices from designated trusted flaggers under the DSA.

8. Intellectual property

9. Advertising

The mobile apps may show rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. Ads are clearly identifiable. Your interaction with ads is governed by the advertiser's and the ad network's own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for the data shared with ad partners and how to manage your consent.

10. Suspension and termination

We may warn, mute, restrict, suspend, or permanently ban an account, with or without prior notice, where:

Where we apply a ban that is not transparent (e.g. it relies on a confidential investigation), or where it relies on automated detection in part, we will give you the opportunity to appeal by writing to support@table-online.ro. We will review the appeal within a reasonable time and reply with reasons. This is consistent with our obligations under the Digital Services Act.

When an account is permanently banned, virtual currency and items associated with the account are forfeited and no refund is due for them, except where required by mandatory consumer-protection law.

11. Disclaimers

12. Liability

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you in-app and, where we have your email, by email, at least 30 days before the change takes effect, except where the change is required by law and must take effect sooner. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.

14. Governing law and disputes

Out-of-court dispute resolution

EU consumers have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We will respond to enquiries received through this platform.

In Romania, consumers may also contact the Autoritatea Națională pentru Protecția Consumatorilor (ANPC) at https://anpc.ro.
